To increase among us the love of God and neighbour

We thought you would just love to hear more news about the CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL at St. Michael’s. The response was very encouraging and we had many interesting and varied trees on display in church.

It was a wonderful and encouraging festival, the people who took part making inventive and well made exhibitions. We had facilities to hang drawings and paintings on various sizes of boards, we had edible trees, a Jessie tree, a tree in water and a lollipop tree just to mention a few.

Over 40 people visited the exhibition on Friday and Saturday and all who came commented on the good atmosphere and fellowship the event provided. The tree display remained in church until early January adding to the Christmas decorations.

We hope to be able to repeat the festival in 2010 with even more trees and grander designs.

Thanks to all who took part
George & Dylis Carter.
